Culloden House Hotel
At the time of the Jacobite rising in 1745-46, Culloden House was requisitioned by Bonnie Prince Charlie and used as his lodging and battle headquarters prior to that fateful and final battle on Culloden Moor on the 16th April 1746. Today, this handsome Palladian country house stands on nearly 40 acres where guests are free to wander about the elegant lawns and parkland to enjoy the exceptional peace, tranquility and majesty of the grounds. The interior features a wonderfully comfortable drawing room with magnificent Adamesque plasterwork, many fine antiques and a large open fire.

Inverlochy Castle
Nestling in the foothills of the mighty Ben Nevis, Inverlochy Castle sits amidst some of Scotland's finest scenery. Inverlochy was built in 1863 by the first Lord Abinger, near the site of the original 13th century fortress. In September 1873 during a trip to Balmoral, Queen Victoria spent a week at Inverlochy sketching and painting where she wrote in her diaries "I never saw a lovelier or more romantic spot". Inverlochy had been a private residence for over a hundred years until 1969 when it was converted from a family home to Scotland's finest country house hotel Guests may choose from three dining rooms, each decorated with period and elaborate furniture presented as gifts to the Castle from the King of Norway

Skibo Castle
was built in the early 20th century by the world's richest man of the time - steel magnate and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. Today, Skibo is an exclusive private club where non-members can visit only once on a hotel basis, after which, they must become members paying a joining fee and an annual fee thereafter. Set amid 7,500 acres of forested estate and well hidden from public view near the small town of Dornoch, Skibo deserves its reputation as one of the most exclusive hotels in the world, but is also one of the most welcoming.

The Marcliffe Hotel & Spa
